This blog was created to chart our progress (that is me and my beekeeping buddy Suzanne) as fledgling beekeepers along with our children (all boys) who don the suits and gloves and manage the smoker as the fancy takes them.
So last year Suzanne and I did a beekeeping course in Warwickshire and by the end of May we were in possession of a Cast swarm (that is a swarm with an unmated queen) and we have been on a steep learning curve ever since.
This blog will chart our triumphs and disasters, our ignorance and mistakes.
